Yi M1 Review & Menu Walkthrough
Xiaomi’s Yi M1 Mirrorless camera has few features, but image quality is very good.

I want to point out that the image quality coming off the Yi M1 is in the range of the Sony a6300, which is impressive but somewhat expected because the sensor is basically just a trimmed version of the sensor in the a6300. Granted, the image is a little darker, over-sharpened and a little too contrasty (and there isn’t much you can do to change that in-camera), but from a noise perspective it’s quite comparable. The below images were taken using the same lens (Canon FD 50mm f1.8 @ f4) and shown at 100% crop.
One odd thing, however, is that all pictures created on the M1 have an 8-pixel border all the way around the image where the edge pixels are simply duplicated. I’m not sure why, but that is likely fixable in firmware.
