Renovated – The Complete Guide to Sony Lens Adapters
Over the holiday, PhotonArmy.com was moved to new web hosting. During the process I updated The Complete Guide to Sony Lens Adapters. For the uninitiated, this continues to be the most.. um… complete accounting of lens adapters for attaching vintage lenses to Sony E-mount cameras in existence, hence the name. Originally, it was built with a tabbed interface that didn’t work very well on mobile devices. It has been rebuilt with an accordion structure, live pricing from Amazon, a table of contents and an FAQ section.
Grab a lens off eBay and an adapter from the guide, then use some of your pandemic alone time to play with manual photography. Vintage lenses are prone to flairs and glow and all sorts of interesting “character” (a polite euphemism for “flaws”) that you just can’t get in modern glass.
If you have a stash of lenses in storage, this guide may help you find the adapters you need. Otherwise, consider using the remainder of your pandemic to grab a deal on eBay, grab a lens adapter from this guide and shoot some interesting scenes around the house.
I do hope your 2021 is off to a good start, and may 2020 burn in the dumpster of history!
